Nice place to camp. By this time quite empty and very friendly staff. The shop has all that i need for one evening.

Very disappointing. We booked 3 weeks in advance for 1 night. Upon arrival, the campsite was simply packed (during COVID time, so didn't feel very COVID safe). At check-in, no indication on... read more where our pitch was or where the amenities were was given. So the warden went to see "where to put us", as if no pitch was actually planned or booked for us. After a few minutes we were directed to what seemed an improvised last minute pitch, next to the campiste access road. The pitch was very small with barely enough space for our van, and did definitely not respect the 6m rules between customers. We were given the explanation that it was all there was left as they weren't expecting so many people. But I'm pretty sure everybody had to book, especially on a bank holiday week-end... Anyways, we didn't get any apologies and were made to feel like an incovenience. Not very pleasant considering that we BOOKED in advance and almost camped on the pathway. So wouldn't recommend at all during busy times like bank holidays or half-terms.

Very friendly site with helpful managers to make your stay comfortable. Beautiful countryside with lots of interesting places to visit within a 20 mile radius. Good local pub within walking... read more distance. Pizza night and Thai food available to purchase onsite were delicious. An eclectic mix of tents, campers, caravans and a variety of people from all over the globe. Very clean toilet facilities but could do with more showers if staying for longer periods. We stayed for a week, had great weather and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The pictures look great unfortunately since they were taken the site has gone down hill. I personally heard the manager tell an employee in front of visitors if you don't want to work then fxxxking don't look. 10pm curfew on all noise that includes you talking to loud. This has so much potentially not all the staff were rude maybe some of them should take over .

The campsite was very clean and moreover, pleasant despite the cold, the shower blocks were heated. That was fantastic as I was freezing. The kitchen area had a microwave, a kettle, a sponge, dishwashing liquid, a washing machine, in short: unexpected luxury! I will return with great pleasure!
