Lovely walk following the footpath to local church and across into the village to the pub and a wonderful farm shop.

After visiting last year and the owner, Will, going out of his way to be helpful and making sure we had a great time, we looked forward to returning for... read more another lovely weekend with friends. Unfortunately, we were sadly let down this year by the site manager who speaks rudely to customers (not just to us but witnessed speaking to other campsite users too) . A lot of the issues that arose this weekend could have easily have been rectified by ensuring information had been disseminated and available for all, e.g. breakfast trays having to be cleaned before being returned or the pod waste bins being emptied before checking out! We also hired the party barn for the whole weekend but did not expect to be told we couldn’t use it, even to just sit and chat in it after 10.00pm. Again, this information could have been imparted to us before the weekend so other arrangements could have been put into place. The nail in the coffin for us though was when the site manager shouted and swore at some of our party, after the curfew I might add, and making unfounded accusations to us! This campsite has lots of potential but we will definitely not be returning until the management staff has been changed or given proper customer care training.

Really nice people running the camp. We had terrible weather but the wardens check up on us which was great. Great amenities too.

Very disappointing. We booked 3 weeks in advance for 1 night. Upon arrival, the campsite was simply packed (during COVID time, so didn't feel very COVID safe). At check-in, no indication on... read more where our pitch was or where the amenities were was given. So the warden went to see "where to put us", as if no pitch was actually planned or booked for us. After a few minutes we were directed to what seemed an improvised last minute pitch, next to the campiste access road. The pitch was very small with barely enough space for our van, and did definitely not respect the 6m rules between customers. We were given the explanation that it was all there was left as they weren't expecting so many people. But I'm pretty sure everybody had to book, especially on a bank holiday week-end... Anyways, we didn't get any apologies and were made to feel like an incovenience. Not very pleasant considering that we BOOKED in advance and almost camped on the pathway. So wouldn't recommend at all during busy times like bank holidays or half-terms.

Well kept, clean facilities and relaxed atmosphere. Loved our stay here.
