The campsite was very clean and moreover, pleasant despite the cold, the shower blocks were heated. That was fantastic as I was freezing. The kitchen area had a microwave, a kettle, a sponge, dishwashing liquid, a washing machine, in short: unexpected luxury! I will return with great pleasure! After visiting last year and the owner, Will, going out of his way to be helpful and making sure we had a great time, we looked forward to returning for... read more another lovely weekend with friends. Unfortunately, we were sadly let down this year by the site manager who speaks rudely to customers (not just to us but witnessed speaking to other campsite users too) . A lot of the issues that arose this weekend could have easily have been rectified by ensuring information had been disseminated and available for all, e.g. breakfast trays having to be cleaned before being returned or the pod waste bins being emptied before checking out! We also hired the party barn for the whole weekend but did not expect to be told we couldn’t use it, even to just sit and chat in it after 10.00pm. Again, this information could have been imparted to us before the weekend so other arrangements could have been put into place. The nail in the coffin for us though was when the site manager shouted and swore at some of our party, after the curfew I might add, and making unfounded accusations to us! This campsite has lots of potential but we will definitely not be returning until the management staff has been changed or given proper customer care training.

Nicely managed campsite, clean facilities. Small shop on site. Only negative is that they could do with a few more showers as there are only two for each sex. However,... read more as they are on 4 minute timer I've not had to wait too long for one so far (the 20p charge is donated to the air ambulance which is nice to know). This is only a niggle and we had a great time here and would come back.

It was good. Must admit camping was a bit cramped but it didn't detract. Pod were good as were the breakfasts. Very helpful staff.

However the atmosphere was good and everyone was respectful of the site rules. We had a good time
